That would be fundamentals, focused size work, then advanced strategies. And I’m not an expert on any of this, just someone who has been through Ax 1, 2, max size, and currently on Ultimate Arms. Specific numbers are tough due to biology, diet, effort, lots of factors. Building muscle will be easy with these programs if you do the work, but there just isn't any way around having a good diet if you are serious about fat loss. Last thing I'll say is that you absolutely have to clean up your eating if you actually want to see the fat drop. Ultimately I would do both, but Shred will be easier if you do AX1 first and you will end up getting more out of it. It's gonna be extremely challenging if you aren't good with cardio (huffing and puffing, 30-60 second rests, go again immediately). The biggest difference is that Shred is designed around timed circuits that just don't stop, so you end up getting a cardio workout snuck in on you. The more you are capable of the more you are asked to do. Shred is similar in that it starts "easy" and then ramps up, but there are built in tiers for your ability level. It's a fantastic program that starts relatively easy and ramps up in months 2 & 3 pretty significantly. I have done both AX1 (multiple times) and Shred (yet to finish) and they are both good for beginners.ĪX1 will build you a great foundation.
